Çelebihan Baklava won the Outstanding Taste Award with its carrot slice baklava in the 2019 TAT contest attended by thousands of consumers from hundreds of countries around the world.
Çelebihan Baklava, which was awarded 2 Golden Star Superior Taste Awards in the competition held in Belgium, became the first and only company to bring an international award to Gaziantep in the field of Baklava.

Çelebihan Baklava, which has been operating in the baklava sector in Gaziantep since 1979, once again proved its quality with the international award. Mehmet Güner Işık, CEO and General Manager of Çelebihan Baklava, stated that the International Taste Institute is an eagerly anticipated tasting and flavoring organization attended by thousands of consumer food and beverage products from hundreds of countries. Stating that more than 15 thousand products from different countries of the world participate in the organization held every year, Işık said, “1885 of these products were awarded the certificate. We received the superior taste award for baklava. We attended such an organization for the first time. from Turkey had many participants from different sectors, "he said.

Stating that they received an award for the carrot slice baklava they sent to the International Taste Institute jury for tasting, Işık said, “200 prestigious Chefs & Sömeliye gathered to provide the producers with objective and professional comments and feedback on the TAT performance of their products. Laurent van Wassenhove, Managing Partner of the International Taste Institute, Chefs at renowned institutions, Michelin-starred chefs, Best Salad award-winning jambies test the products sent by the manufacturers by blind tasting method. Products with high sensory analysis scores are awarded the "Superior Taste Award". As Çelebihan, we won 2 Golden Star Superior Taste Awards with Carrot Slice Baklava. And we became the first and only company to bring an international award to Gaziantep in the field of Baklava, ”he said.

JStating that he made the taste evaluation of the product as 1,2,3 stars, Işık said, “The products are analyzed and scored by following a systematic and objective methodology. Products are tested by blind tasting method, in large panels, by independent food and beverage professionals tasting without knowing the brand, product name or origin. 3 stars, products with a total score of 90 percent and above, extraordinary taste, 2 star products between 80 percent and 90 percent, remarkable taste, 1 star as products with a total score between 70 percent and 80 percent, that is, the outstanding taste.
